Setting Up Modules

Every module is configured the same way — understood once, understood for good.

The easy way: the dashboard

Sign in on the website with Discord and pick your server. On the left is the list of all modules, in the middle the settings of the selected one. You pick channels and roles from a drop-down list — you do not have to copy any IDs or get any spelling right. Saving takes one click, and the bot applies it immediately.

That is the way we recommend, and not as a matter of taste: in the dashboard you see all of a module's settings side by side, with an explanation next to them. In Discord you only ever see what you have just asked for.

The quick way: slash commands

Everything works directly in Discord as well — and some things are even quicker there once you know what you want. For that you need to remember exactly one command:

/setup

It opens a list of all modules. A green dot means switched on, a white one switched off. Pick one — and you land in the settings panel.

If you already know what it is about, you can go straight there:

/setup modul:Moderation · the same panel, one step fewer
/mod setup · the same
/embed setup · the same

Every module has the same setup subcommand. So if /ticket is added at some point, /ticket setup will work in exactly the same way, without you having to learn anything new.

The panel

At the top of the panel you see all current settings in plain words — with real role names and clickable channels, not with IDs. Below that:

  1. One drop-down: "Was möchtest du ändern?" (what would you like to change?) — every setting is listed there with a short explanation.
  2. As soon as you select something, exactly the matching selector appears:
    • Roles → Discord's own role picker. Click it, done. No IDs, no copying.
    • Channels → Discord's own channel picker, filtered down to what fits (for example only categories).
    • Yes/no → two buttons.
    • A choice from a list → a drop-down.
    • Text or number → an input window with the current value already in it.
  3. Every change is saved immediately. There is no "Speichern" (save) button anyone could forget, and afterwards the panel shows the new state.

At the bottom there are always the same four buttons: Modul ein-/ausschalten (switch module on or off), Zurücksetzen (reset), Im Dashboard öffnen (open in the dashboard) and Fertig (done).

Only the person who entered the command sees the panel. So you can set things up in any channel you like without anyone reading along.

Who may set things up?

Anyone who has the Server verwalten (manage server) permission on the server. That is deliberately kept apart from the question of who may use a module — you configure that in the panel itself (for example which roles may moderate).

The same thing in the browser

In the dashboard you will find Einrichten (set up) under every module. It says exactly the same there, only as a form with search fields — more pleasant if you have a lot of roles or are typing longer texts. Both ways write to the same setting; so you can start in Discord and carry on in the browser.

When something is not saved

The panel checks every entry and tells you what is wrong — for example "höchstens 28 Tage" (28 days at most) or "bitte eine ganze Zahl" (please enter a whole number). As long as a message appears, nothing has been saved; the old value stays.
